Fort Lee is the only Bergen County municipality with a genuine high-rise skyline, built around the George Washington Bridge approach and reinforced by the Hudson Lights and The Modern redevelopment of the long-vacant Main Street urban renewal site.
The borough therefore holds both a large 1960s–1980s Palisades high-rise inventory and recent tower construction — two generations of glazed facade with very different remediation needs.

New towers are unitized, while the older Palisades inventory carries non-thermal stick-built wall and window wall now facing condensation, air infiltration and anchorage questions.
